Apple Employees Told To Head Back To The Office

We are slowly coming out of the days of the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and that means a lot of people are headed back to work. Work, as in the office, as in real clothes, and no more sweats back to work. Apple CEO Tim Cook sent out a message to employees earlier today explaining that they must return to the office for a minimum of three days a week beginning this September. "For all that we’ve been able to achieve while many of us have been separated, the truth is that there has been something essential missing from this past year: each other,” he said. “Video conference calling has narrowed the distance between us, to be sure, but there are things it simply cannot replicate,” he wrote.

In the beginning, staff not assigned to specific teams will go into the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with the option of working remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. Other staff members will work in the office 4-5 days a week. Get ready for more traffic on 101 and the San Mateo and Dumbarton bridges.
