Mags Furuholmen Says New A-ha Music Is Unlikely

In a new interview with Billboard.com, A-ha's keyboardist Mags Furuholmen talked about the massive success of their 1985 debut album, his relationship to his bandmates, and new music.

A-ha has been in pop culture's subconscious since they debuted, thanks to their iconic single "Take On Me." It's a track that achieves something many songs from the past struggle to do. It captures an exact moment in music history while still feeling timeless.

The band is back in the headlines as they continue their Hunting High and Low Live tour, which has been extended until November 2020. For the second half of the show, the band plays the debut album in its entirety.

When asked if fans should expect new music from the band Furuholmen replied, "I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. It feels like we've recorded enough, given enough new music to the world as we have."

Although we'd love to hear what new A-ha music would sound like in 2019, especially since he shared that "Both my kids are heavily into music as well. I get a lot of exposure to new stuff from them, from their discoveries," we have to agree that the trio has given fans something even more special: music that never gets old.
