Today marks the start of a new phase beginning in the state of California. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state has officially entered phase 3 of the reopening plan which includes the reopening of hair salons. Unfortunately nail salons have NOT been given the green All but 11 counties in the state have agreed that these businesses can open effective immediately. Gyms, movie theaters and professional sports without live audiences are also included in Phase 3, but they have not been given the go ahead to open at this time. Over the Memorial Day holiday Gov. Newson announced that places of worship and in-store retail would also be allowed to resume with restrictions in place.
The 11 counties that are not ready for immediate reopening include: Alameda, Contra Costa, Imperial, Los Angeles, Marin, Monterey, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Tulare counties.
