There's a massive Girl Scout Cookie Surplus due to the pandemic. Of course, Thin Mints are as popular as ever, troops just couldn't do in-person sales during the pandemic so they ended up with leftovers. There are about 15 million left over boxes! They also didn't make as much money. The bakeries that make the cookies are hanging onto about 12 million boxes, and only three million need to be sold or donated in the next few months. Check your local Girl Scout website to see if they are still taking orders. Or you can check out their "Hometown Heroes" program and buy cookies for the frontline workers.
