Neil Young previously hinted at it and now it's official. The Godfather of Grunge is recording a new album with Crazy Horse to follow up 2012's Psychedelic Pill.
Responding to a fan's question on his website, Young revealed, "Crazy Horse is about to enter the studio with 11 new ones," adding, the tracks are "going to be recorded starting this week."
Rolling Stone notes that there is no timeline for laying down the songs, pointing out that Nils Lofgren, who has taken over guitar duties for longtime axeman Frank "Poncho" Sampedro, has some scheduled tour dates in May.
Young is also hitting the road next month with shows in the US, then Europe in late June.
