It's A Wonderful Life is already a cinematic classic, but could it also become a musical masterpiece? With Paul McCartney involved, there's a great possibility.
The Beatles legend has teamed up with Billy Elliott and Rocketman scriptwriter Lee Hall on bringing the 1946 Christmas flick to the legitimate theater.
According to McCartney, the project kicked off after Hall asked over email if he'd like to try his hand at writing the score for his first musical, telling The Guardian, "I found myself thinking this could be interesting and fun."
Plans are for a late 2020 debut, but the venue hasn't been selected.
