Twenty-two years after the members of the Kinks went their separate ways, Ray and Dave Davies are hard at work on a reunion album. But whatever you do, don't say the group is "getting back together."
"The word 'together' is misleading," says Ray Davies, whose clashes with his brother will forever live in rock infamy. "We were never together. But we’re back to our dysfunction again."
As for touring behind the album, for which a release date has not yet been set, Davies is noncommittal. "We have to make the record first," he says. "But if we do play again, we’ll come to America. That’s another conversation, though."
