Halloween Parties/Events Planned For Kincade Fire Victims

As fire crews continue to battle the devastating Kincade Fire in Sonoma County, locals are stepping in to make sure kids who had to flee can still enjoy Halloween.

A Halloween party will be held on Thursday night at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Dollar Tree has donated boxes of candy and decorations and Safeway is expected to donate too.

Thursday's party at the fairgrounds is set to take place between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Here are a few more events families can attend on Halloween around Sonoma County:


Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Hotel at the Petaluma River trick-or-treating will take place from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday.

Also in Petaluma, the city's Downtown Merchants Association intends to go ahead with its Halloween trick-or-treat trail for kids 12 and younger from 3 to 5:30 pm on Halloween.


Just up the highway in Cotati, municipal leaders will host City Hall-Oween.

From 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, parents may bring their children to City Hall on West Sierra Avenue and the neighboring Veronda-Falletti Ranch.
