Wellness Shot: How To Keep Safe During Daylight Saving Time

We turn the clocks back an hour which is nerve wracking for parents because it increases the chances that our children are going to be walking home or getting off the bus in the dark especially if they are involved in after school activities.

Here's how to keep your kids safe with the daylight saving time change:

Cross the street only at intersections or at the corner. Don't cross the middle of the street or between park cars

If they are walking on a road that doesn't have sidewalks make sure they walk facing traffic

Please ask them to not blast music in their headphones. Make sure they can hear what is going on around them.

Mom & Dad, you can get strips of reflective light tape to put on their backpacks or clothing
