Is It Safe To Try On Clothes Now That Stores Are Reopening?

Unless you know for a fact that clothes you order online will fit perfectly, it's still easier to just go to the store to try on those items.

But how will that look post-pandemic? Now that retailers are beginning to open again, here's how they'll keep the safety of shoppers in mind.

Some stores in Canada are putting aside any clothes that were tried on into quarantine for between 24 and 72 hours before then subjecting the pieces to a steam cleaning. Fitting rooms, if open, will be cleaned much more often.

While there is the potential for the coronavirus to live on fabric, buttons and zippers, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says catching it from touch is less likely than standing next to an infected person.
