How to Get the most cooling from your car air conditioner. These tips will also save you money because whenever you’re using the AC your engine is working harder and you burn more fuel.
- Set your car air to recirculate. In recirculation mode the AC only has to chill Inside the car once it’s reached its temperature the AC compressor turns off which reduces the load on your engine
- If your car is boiling hot when you get in it avoid the temptation to cool down the car before you start driving. Your car air-conditioning works much better when you’re actually driving.
- Make sure you change your cars air filters to remove dust and dirt from the air that comes out of the vents check your owners manual we probably need to do it every year or two
