The Bay Area is getting ready for a dangerous heatwave starting on Friday. Triple digits are expected for the inland areas with Walnut Creek, Concord, and Fairfield hitting 108 degrees.
The National Weather Services is reminding folks to stay hydrated, seek shade, and check on the elderly and young children. DO NOT leave your pets in the car for any reason. If you put your hand on the concrete for 5 seconds and it's too hot for you, then it's definitely going to be hot for those little doggie paws.
