Wildfires Triggers Evacuations In Vacaville

There are seven large wildfires burning in Napa County, Marin County, Sonoma County, Santa Cruz County, and Contra Costa County.

The biggest fire right now is the Hennessey fire which has spread from Napa County into the city of Vacaville. People are being ordered to evacuate after the fire exploded overnight. Multiple houses and buildings have already burned down.

The evacuation orders were issued for Solano County residents west of Blue Ridge Road to I-505 and north of Cherry Glen Road. People around Pleasants Valley Road have been told to leave. The fire has burned 32,000 acres and 0% contained. The fire is part of the LNU Lightning Complex and is continuing to spread.

Evacuation Centers in Vacaville: Ulatis and McBride Community Centers as well as Padan, Fairmont and Sierra Vista Elementary Schools and the Skate Center on Davis Street. Large animals can be taken to the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo, small animals can be dropped at the Solano County animal shelter on Claybank Road.
