More Rockers React: The World Is Heartbroken Over Eddie Van Halen

The tributes keep pouring in following the death of Eddie Van Halen.

AC/DC guitarist Angus Young says, "Eddie was a guitar wonder, his playing pure wizardry. To the world of music he was a special gift."

Metallica also released a statement saying they considered Eddie, "an inspiration, an idol, and after spending a summer together on the road in '88, a friend."

Eddie Van Halen died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer.

He founded Van Halen in 1972 with his brother Alex, David Lee Roth, and Michael Anthony.

Meanwhile, country superstar Brad Paisley paid tribute to Eddie Van Halen with a clip of himself on stage with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns 'N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan and actor Will Ferrell, who is dressed up like Van Halen's original lead singer, David Lee Roth, as they performed "Hot for Teacher."

“I loved everything about the fire and style he brought to the guitar. I studied him, heck everybody did, we all wanted to play just like him. But no one did it quite like him," Paisley states. "Thank you Eddie for being a pioneer. It’s unimaginable what the guitar would be without you."
