An art installation coming to Golden Gate Park will transform Peacock Meadow into an enchanted forest of otherworldly shapes and ever-changing light, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Parks Alliance announced today.
“Entwined,” by San Francisco artist Charles Gadeken, will honor Golden Gate Park’s 150th Anniversary.
The installation will run from Dec. 1 through Feb. 29 with a possible extension to June 1. The lighting each night will take place from sundown to approximately 10pm.
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department partnered with the San Francisco Parks Alliance non-profit to produce this event and will release information about tickets soon. So far it appears it will be FREE but folks will need to reserve spaces/tickets to prevent crowds.
