Did you know Christie is also Petty Officer Christie James? Yes, Christie is a Navy Veteran! My own family has a strong military history, my grandfather Edward Pattison drove an ambulance in WWI, my father David Quinn was a Navy rescue pilot, and my brother Chris Quinn was also a pilot in the Navy.
Every year on Veterans Day I thank the Veterans on my Facebook page, because I’m so aware there are actual Americans behind the hashtag #SupportOurTroops and #ThankAVet. Actual families who have said good-bye to their loved one, wondering if they will stay safe. This is the day we thank those who have signed on the dotted line to risk life and limb to protect America for the rest of us.
