Artists have begun experimenting with 'socially distant' concerts - whether keeping guests six feet apart, stuck in their cars, or encased in plastic bubbles like The Flaming Lips.
But Sammy Hagar won't be joining them. The ex-Van Halen singer says he needs to feed off the live crowd
In a recent interview, Hagar said the drive-in concert idea "didn't appeal to me". He said he needs to be "playing the music and entertaining and talking to the folks and getting the feedback".
That's not to say Hagar hasn't been playing music - his band The Circle just finished a Lockdown 2020 covers album that each member recorded virtually.
