If you're one of those people that don't close the lid when you flush the toilet, there's a new video that may have you thinking about closing the lid next time.
TikToker @xxiamkristinxx shared a Discovery Channel clip from the 2011 program Curiosity showing Mike Rowe learning why the toilet seat should be closed.
In the video, a doctor demonstrates when you flush the toilet a "fountain" forms that can spread E. coli or staphylococcus up to ten feet. That’s on your towels, your toothbrush, your hairbrush, your razor, even you if you’re standing at the sink washing your hands. I don’t know about you but that’s a big ‘no thanks’ for me!
