The American Rescue Plan Act was passed last Wednesday afternoon and now the legislation means that some folks can expect a large check coming soon. You can check irs.gov to check on the status of your $1,400 stimulus payment. Americans who made less than $80K based on their 2019 tax returns can expect cash. $1400 per dependent and couples can see double cash in their accounts. The IRS has already started sending payments out for those who have signed up for a direct deposit and if you filed by mail paper checks will be sent out later this month.
