You might have heard tax deadlines have been extended to May 17, here’s what you need to know!
The federal income tax filing deadline has been extended to May 17. This includes money owed, tax payments are now due May 17, 2021, without penalties and interest regardless of the amount. After May 17, 2021 you can get a filing extension but that extension will not apply to the payment if you owe taxes. In Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana victims of the winter storms have until June 15, 2021, to file and make tax payments.
In California, our state taxes are due on April 15, 2021
