In an effort to protest the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's lack of diversity among its members, Tom Cruise has returned the three Golden Globes he's been awarded over the course of his career.
The trophies -- which Cruise won for "Born on the Fourth of July," "Jerry Maguire" and "Magnolia" -- were sent back to the association over the weekend, a rep for Cruise confirms.
The act comes after a number of stars -- including Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson -- called for the industry to "step back" from the Golden Globes until diversity reforms are put into place. Such organizations as Netflix, Amazon, and WarnerMedia have since announced their participation in the boycott.
