It's been a rough few years for Lindsey Buckingham. First, he was kicked out of Fleetwood Mac in 2018. Then he underwent open-heart surgery in 2019. And now he's revealed he and his wife of 21 years are headed for splitsville.
Buckingham and Kristen Messner, an interior designer and photographer, filed divorce paperwork Tuesday in a Los Angeles County court, according to TMZ. Details of the documents have not been revealed.
Buckingham and Messner met in the late 1990s when she was hired to photograph him for the cover of one of his solo albums. They tied the knot in 2000 and went on to have three children together.
Earlier on Tuesday, Buckingham announced the September 17th release of his first solo effort in 10 years. It's called, "Lindsey Buckingham."
