Former Police drummer Stewart Copeland is writing a new book about the band's early days.
Titled Starving Years, Copeland says the book will recount the era of "carrying amps around, loading in and out of gigs, collecting the money, paying rent."
It's based on Copeland's own 'diaries and doodles' - such as the night he first met Sting when he wrote: "saw a band called Last Exit. The bass player was great. Get his number."
Starving Years will be out sometime in early 2022.
