Shout out San Francisco Unified School District they’re implementing a MINDFULNESS program. Teaching kids the benefits of getting centered.
Local Bay Area mindfulness expert Susi Brennan teaches kids to notice where they feel their breath the most and to call that area their ANCHOR SPOT and she shows them a picture of a big anchor to give them a visual to put with that phrase. She told NBC Bay Area “When kids can identify their own feelings, for example, where they feel it in their body, they can actually have more empathy for other people because they might recognize that in someone else,"
