Former UB40 vocalist, percussionist, and trombone player Terance 'Astro' Wilson has passed away.
Astro become a member of UB40 in 1979 and left in 2013 to create a version of the band called UB40 with Ali Campbell & Astro.
The Ali Campbell & Astro Twitter page shared a statement reading, "We are absolutely devastated and completely heartbroken to have to tell you that our beloved Astro has today passed away after a very short illness."
The official UB40 page also shared condolences writing, "RIP ASTRO We have heard tonight, the sad news that ex-member of UB40, Terence Wilson, better known as Astro, has passed away after a short illness. Our sincere condolences to his family."
