Legendary singer/songwriter/guitarist Michael Nesmith from The Monkees has died at the age of 78.
In a statement, his family said, "With infinite Love we announce that Michael Nesmith has passed away this morning in his home. surrounded by family, peacefully of natural causes."
Nesmith and fellow Monkees member Micky Dolenz had just wrapped up a farewell tour last month.
As a member of The Monkees, Nesmith wrote songs including "Mary, Mary," "Circle Sky," "The Girl I Knew Somewhere," and "Listen To The Band."
