A public memorial service will be held for legendary NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden on February 15 in Oakland, the league announced this morning (Friday).
More details on where the memorial will be held are to be announced closer to the date.
Madden coached the Oakland Raiders for 10 seasons and made history in the NFL with at least 100 wins. Madden was a fixture in the Bay Area as he attended Jefferson School in Daly City as a kid.
