If you saw somebody laying on the ground passed out would you know what to do? Some people might be certified in CPR training, but for the rest of us, “hands-only” CPR is what’s recommended.
The first thing you do when you see someone passed out, I say in a really loud voice hey are you OK? Then call out for someone to call 911 or you call, and leave the dispatcher on speakerphone so they can help you.
Get directly over the person, put the heel of one hand in the center of their chest, and the other on top. Then, push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. Push to the tempo of Stayin’ Alive. Watch this video for the complete procedure!
