Tom Cruise says he cried during the filming of scenes involving actor Val Kilmer for "Top Gun: Maverick."
Kilmer quit acting in 2014 after losing his ability to speak after undergoing throat cancer treatment. The actor returned to play his character Iceman in the hit sequel film and Cruise said it was pretty emotional. Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cruise said Kilmer is a brilliant actor and he loves his work. "Top Gun: Maverick" made over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office and is nominated for Best Picture at next month's Academy Awards.
