According to CNN, Miles Teller has been cast as Goose's son in a sequel to "Top Gun." Teller retweeted of a report from Variety, appearing to to confirm the news. Teller's tweet read "I feel the need..." . The "Whiplash" actor will star as the son of Anthony Edward's character. The highly anticipated "Top Gun: Maverick" will be a sequel to the 1986 original In which Tom Cruise played Navy pilot Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. Edwards played Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, his co-pilot and best friend, who dies in the film.
