Big Bird Puppeteer Steps Down After 50 Years

It's been reported that Caroll Spinney, the puppeteer behind Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch is stepping down from the position after 50 years. Spinney began bringing life to the beloved characters in 1969 and has since made the character household icons. Not to worry, however, the characters of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch will still remain on the show.
