The official word so far is still that no one person will be the actual host of this Sunday's Oscar show. However, the theory that's buzzing around is that Whoopi Goldberg will be the host. Speculation about her recent absence from "The View" is that she is secretly preparing to host the Oscars. Nothing of the sort has been confirmed or even commented on from those in the know.
