It's the guitar that has captivated our attention since we first saw it in Purple Rain and now can have your very own replica of Prince's 'Purple Rain'-era Cloud guitar. Or just imagine what a great gift it would be for the musician (or just Prince fan) in your life! It's possible because Schecter has announced that its Prince Cloud replica guitar will now be available worldwide.
The original Cloud guitar, was modeled after a custom bass guitar Prince bought for his childhood friend and band mate, André Cymone. It was built by Minneapolis luthier Dave Rusan. Prince then commissioned Scheter to remake the Cloud in new colors and finishes, and to repair his existing Clouds.
The new Cloud replica, previously only available to purchase in-person at Paisley Park, can now be yours! You know I'm going to eventually have to get my own BASS GUITAR version!
