Pop superstar Cyndi Lauper has always advocated for the LGBTQ community. Especially with her nonprofit charity organization True Colors United, which is aimed at ending homelessness for LGBTQ youth. The proceeds from the concert event support programs for her True Colors Fund. The event even set the stage for quite an unlikely collaboration when one of the guests at the event, Henry Rollins, brought Lauper out for a raucous performance of Black Flag’s “Rise Above.” Check it out below.
