People Are Cutting Holes In Their Face Masks To "Breathe Easier"

Shelter in place restrictions have been going on for several months now and it seems like people are adapting in every way that they can. One of the newest restrictions Is the requirement for face masks. Although we are all getting used to the new normal with it seems as if some people would prefer a bit more comfort when practicing the new regulation.

The new trend seems to be people who are cutting up their face masks in order to breathe easier. A shocked Kentucky convenience store clerk posted a customer explaining the logic behind her choice to cut her mask. The video shows the attendant asking the women where she got her mask. "Well since we have to wear them and it makes it hard to breathe, this makes it a lot easier to breathe," she replied.

Masks are supposed to be worn because COVID-19 is a respiratory disease and they help prevent the spread of the disease. To me it seems like cutting a hole in the masks defeats the purpose what do you think?
