QUEEN To Stream Freddie Mercury Tribute For Pandemic Relief

The 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness is coming to YouTube for two days to help raise funds for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The Wembley Stadium show featured the surviving members of Queen – Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon – performing alongside David Bowie, Elton John, George Michael, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey, James Hetfield, Tony Iommi, Seal, Axl Rose and Liza Minnelli. Metallica, Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses and U2. Freddie Mercury died from complications of AIDS on Nov. 24, 1991.

The Tribute Concert will be on YouTube for 48 hours beginning at 2 pm ET on May 15. – the same weekend YouTube hosts Prince and the Revolution: Live for the same cause. Set a reminder for this Friday at 11 A PST / 2P EST / 7P BST for the premiere of the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert.
