Johnny Rotten becomes Full-Time Caregiver for WIfe with Alzheimer's
Former Sex Pistol John Lydon -- a.k.a. Johnny Rotten -- is giving up his career as an angry musician to become a full-time caregiver. The person he's caring for: his wife of more than 40 years, Nora Forster. Forster has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, Lydon revealed on Wednesday. "Nora has Alzheimer’s," Lydon tells The Mirror. "I am her full-time carer and I won’t let anyone mess up with her head. For me the real person is still there. That person I love is still there every minute of every day and that is my life. It’s unfortunate that she forgets things. Well, don’t we all?"
Despite the 78-year-old Forster's memory loss, Lydon says she hasn't forgotten him -- a fact that's "impressed" her doctors. "We are constantly there with each other," he says, "and that bit won’t go."
