Movie theaters are planning to reopen their doors at 25% capacity or 100 guests, whichever number is fewer. Currently, only Marin and San Mateo counties are in the red tier. However, if things go as planned Napa, San Francisco, and Santa Clara counties are all expected to move into the red tier Tuesday.
Cinemark in San Rafael, Redwood City and San Bruno will open to moviegoers on Friday. Next Friday, March 5, the company plans to reopen its Daly City, Novato, San Mateo, San Rafael. Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres have not announced any plans to open up.
