Apparently chess is now a contact sport. A chess-playing robot ended up fracturing the finger of its 7-year-old opponent during a tournament in Moscow last week. The president of the Moscow Chess Federation told the Russian state news agency Tass. “The robot broke the child’s finger — this, of course, is bad,” Sergey Lazarev said. In a viral clip of the incident, you can see the boy start to make a move after the robot played and the robot immediately jumped to and instead of grabbing the next piece it grabbed the child's hand. Luckily nearby adults were able to rush to his aid. The company said that it was because the boy reacted too quickly but I still believe that this is the beginning of the droid takeover. Consider this a warning....lol.
